About the Author Dr. C P Kothandaraman, former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore had his education at the college of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai and Michigan State University, USA. He had been on the faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the PSG College of Technology during 1957 to 1992.
